Katie Szumigala, MS, LPC
Katie Szumigala is a Licensed Professional Counselor who works primarily with adults. She provides a welcoming and collaborative environment for navigating challenges from depression, anxiety, and trauma to relationship issues, disordered eating, and grief. Having firsthand experience with first responders and their families, she has a strong desire to support these individuals through their unique challenges.
After completing her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling, she worked with individuals in substance use treatment and community mental health, as well as those actively involved in the judicial system. She was a trained volunteer with the Suicide Prevention Hotline for many years, providing callers with comfort and connecting them to additional assistance.
Katie is currently in training to earn her certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to better assist those with varying levels of trauma. Her mission is to listen and support individuals on their journey to create a more fulfilling life.
