Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Licensed Practicing Clinical Counselor with Supervision
Kaitlin Nitz received her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Toledo. She is a Licensed Practicing Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with a Supervisor Designation within the state of Ohio.
Kaitlin began her career in 2013. She worked in mental health services at the Zepf Center while in school for her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Upon graduation, she joined Harbor Behavioral Health and worked as a therapist here for several years. In 2019 she became the Clinical Supervisor at BrightView Health where her work focused on assisting individuals with Substance Use Diagnoses.
She has experience in assisting clients dealing with depression, anxiety, Autism, ADHD, substance use, and many other mental health challenges. Kaitlin enjoys working with adults to address and manage their mental health concerns. Kaitlin prefers to utilize solution-focused techniques, mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in treatment. She further utilizes person-centered techniques and psychoeducation to assist her client’s in finding their individualized paths to wellbeing
