Bo-Yi Lee, CT

Counselor Trainee completing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at The University of Toledo, with an undergraduate degree in Psychology. Member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), the Association for Child and Adolescent Counseling (ACAC).

I work with individuals of all ages facing mental health concerns, relationship challenges, stress, and life transitions. I am fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese and welcome clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

I see our relationship as a guide and a traveler. I am not the one setting the standard for your progress — you are. I offer a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where we explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors together, notice the strengths and resources you already have, and set goals you can see yourself reaching.

I draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, which means our sessions are practical, goal-focused, and include skills you can practice in everyday life. I believe counseling should focus on people’s strengths, not only their problems. I can’t stop life’s storms from coming, but I can be present while you weather them, help you gather the tools to prepare, and support you as you recover.

What I find most rewarding is watching clients grow in understanding themselves until, one day, they no longer need me — they have become their own guide.

Outside of counseling, I enjoy cooking and sharing tea with family and friends.

I understand how overwhelming it can feel to navigate anxiety, trauma, or major life changes, and I believe no one should face those moments alone. I offer a grounded, supportive approach that helps clients feel safe, empowered, and capable of meaningful change. My goal is to help you build a life that feels steady, connected, and fulfilling. If you feel ready to begin this journey, I would be honored to walk alongside you.

Life can sometimes feel stormy. Stress, family conflict, relationship struggles, or big changes can leave you feeling lost, confused, and overwhelmed, unsure which way to go. You don’t have to face those storms alone.

Together, we will slow down and make sense of what you are going through. I will help you notice the strengths you already have, learn coping skills that work in real life, and set goals that matter to you. Step by step, you will build the confidence to handle future storms on your own.

If you are ready to take the first step, I would be glad to walk alongside you. Reach out to Anchored in Hope Counseling today, and let’s begin this journey together.
