
Jacob "Jake" Nelson
Jacob “Jake” Nelson is a graduate student at Spring Arbor University, where he is pursuing a Master’s degree in Counseling. He currently serves as a Program Aide with Anchored in Hope’s after-school program, where he is passionate about helping individuals develop self-awareness and experience greater fulfillment in their lives.
Jake brings several years of experience working with youth in a variety of settings. He is deeply committed to creating supportive environments where young people feel heard, valued, and unconditionally cared for. He believes every individual deserves a trusted advocate who will listen and empower them to grow.
Originally from the Toledo area, Jake is proud to call it home and enjoys life there with his wife. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy from the University of Toledo. In his free time, he can be found walking the local metroparks, fixing his golf swing at the range, or searching for the best chicken & waffles in town.
