Kaitlin Nitz, LPCC-S (She/Her)
Clinical Director
Kaitlin Nitz serves as Clinical Director at Anchored in Hope Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervisory Designation (LPCC-S) who specializes in helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism, life transitions, and a variety of mental health concerns throughout Northwest Ohio.
As Clinical Director, Kaitlin is committed to fostering a culture of compassionate, ethical, and client-centered care throughout the practice. She believes every individual deserves a space where they feel heard, understood, and respected, and she brings that same philosophy to both her leadership role and her work with clients.
Kaitlin works with adults ages 18 and older who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism spectrum concerns, self-doubt, emotional overwhelm, and challenges with connection or belonging. She understands how exhausting it can feel to carry difficult emotions while trying to navigate relationships, responsibilities, and everyday life. Her goal is to provide a therapeutic environment where clients can show up exactly as they are without fear of judgment or pressure to have everything figured out.
Her therapeutic approach is flexible, collaborative, and rooted in a person-centered philosophy. Kaitlin draws from a variety of evidence-informed interventions while tailoring treatment to each client's unique needs, strengths, and goals. She emphasizes validation, normalization, and practical skill-building to help clients better understand their experiences, reduce shame, and develop meaningful strategies for growth. Through transparency and open communication, Kaitlin creates a safe space where clients can explore challenges, gain insight, and move toward lasting change at a pace that feels manageable and empowering.
Kaitlin became a therapist because she recognized the importance of connection and the profound impact of feeling truly understood. She is especially passionate about helping individuals who feel disconnected, misunderstood, or like they do not quite fit within the spaces around them. She believes healing often begins when people are given the opportunity to be fully themselves in a supportive and accepting environment.
Guided by the principle of Radical Acceptance, Kaitlin encourages clients to acknowledge where they are in the present moment while building the tools needed to move toward the future they desire. She welcomes individuals from all backgrounds and values learning about each person's unique experiences, perspectives, and strengths.
Outside of the office, Kaitlin enjoys reading, crocheting, and spending time with her family and three dogs.
