Kayt Harden, MAAT, ATR, LPC (She/Her)

Adult Day Treatment Art Therapist

Kayt Harden is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Art Therapist with a Master of Arts in Art Therapy and Counseling (MAAT) who provides therapeutic art groups within Anchored in Hope Counseling's Adult Day Treatment Program. Through creativity, self-expression, mindfulness, and connection, she helps individuals build coping skills, strengthen emotional wellness, and support their recovery journey.

Kayt believes that healing can happen in many forms and that creativity often provides access to emotions, insights, and strengths that words alone cannot fully express. She is passionate about creating a welcoming and supportive environment where individuals feel safe to explore, create, and reconnect with themselves through the therapeutic process.

Within the Adult Day Treatment Program, Kayt facilitates therapeutic groups that focus on anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, mindfulness, emotional regulation, and personal growth. She understands that life can sometimes leave people feeling disconnected from themselves, their emotions, or their sense of purpose. Through creative expression and supportive group experiences, she helps participants build self-awareness, strengthen coping skills, and develop greater confidence in their ability to navigate life's challenges.

As a Registered Art Therapist, Kayt utilizes art and creative processes as powerful tools for healing and self-discovery. Her approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centered, allowing individuals to explore their experiences in ways that feel natural, meaningful, and empowering. She believes that artistic ability is not required to benefit from art therapy—only a willingness to engage in the creative process with curiosity and openness.

Kayt became a therapist because art therapy combines three of the things she loves most: art, people, and healing. She has personally experienced the joy, insight, and restoration that creative expression can bring and feels honored to help others discover those same possibilities. Her passion is helping individuals reconnect with their creativity, uncover hidden strengths, and experience healing in ways that feel authentic to them.

At the heart of Kayt's work is the belief that healing is not about fixing what is broken but about rediscovering the parts of yourself that may have been overshadowed by stress, trauma, or life's challenges. Through creativity, compassion, and genuine human connection, she helps individuals cultivate resilience, self-understanding, and a renewed sense of hope.

Guided by the belief that "Love is all around and you are the biggest proof of it," Kayt encourages individuals to recognize their inherent worth and embrace the possibilities for growth, healing, and meaningful change.

Outside of the program, Kayt enjoys creating her own artwork, practicing yoga, spending time in nature, and making memories with family and friends.
